I'm going to install the following 2 amps in my max:
2 channel Earthquake amp, rated at 150 watts RMS per channel
4 Channel Sony X-plod amp, rated at 70 watts RMS per chanel
I need advice:
1)What gauge wire do I need for power? Will I run the same gauge wire from the distribution block to the amps?
2)Would I need a capacitor?
Any more suggestions will be appreciated. Thanxs.

I would do 4 guage to the back to a distribution block and run 8 guage to each amp. As for a cap, I wouldn't get 1 yet. But if you turn it up and your headlights start to blink, that's when I would reccomend getting one

However, if you plan to do any future upgrades, you might want to run a 2 GA back from the battery to your distribution block. I didn't plan to do any and when I did I had to re-run a 2GA instead of my 4GA. Pain in the butt.
Also, if you have the amperage, I would get a circuit breaker. I'm running a 100 amp one and it is SOOOOO much nicer than messing with fuses. Just one push of the button and the circuit is broken! Because of that, you can mount it in really anyplace you can reach it. I have mine mounted to the side of my plastic battery cover.
