Good deal or.........

I'm looking to get a new deck for around $200, and i saw this on Ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...876353036&rd=1

Too good to be true? or is there somthing i'm missing here.

And is this a good deck to buy anyway?, i'm not looking to make the ultimite system here, but i want upgrade to a decent deck to plug my portable MP3 into, as well as hook up my amp and sub better (using a LOC now).

Thanks

-Mike

Here is a link to it at Crutchfield for you to take a look at. They want $279 and the cheapest i could find it was $199.95. I don't have any experience with Pioneer decks. So someone else will have to help you out on that one. Def a good price though.

I have bought from that seller before. He was popular with the Jeep Site that I used to be on. No complaints.

No complaints from you, but:

"336 negatives. 323 are from unique users and count toward the final rating" ...On E-bay.

I don't buy things from people on how many positives they have, but rather the negatives. Just be informed of the experiances that other people have had with the vendor and see if there are other people selling the same thing.

pioneer makes good head unit's but the head unit is like the main part of your system... I have a premier deh-p840mp which is like one of their better models. And it totally made my music sound soo much better than my previous mp3 player from rockford. but the 6400 model is ok for an every day car that u don't want the best stuff in. I would have gotten the 7400 model but neither of them have a motorized flip down face. but a decent cd player and at a great price...

Yeah, i looked at 4 or 5 of the negitives, they were about the seller taking a long time to ship, like 20 days. Seems like the seller is for real, and the products he sells are as he describes them.

I have bought from Ike before. I have purchased things on probably a dozen or more occasions and have never had any problems. Twice he ran into a problem with his supplier and that caused the shipment to be delayed, but he credited a % of the purchase back because of the delay.

I really think that he is a standup guy and his business is legit.

The headunit look almost like mines, so I read its features. The features described refers to the DEH-P7400, which I currently have. I paid 240 dollars, so I would go up a model and get the 7400 (and you'll get MP3 capability).

Yeah, looks like he coppied its features right from the pioneer site...
http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/Pi...,21415,00.html

seems like the only difference between this one and the 7400 is that the 7400 can play MP3 CDs; a feature i probably would never use. $240 seems like a good price for the 7400 though.
