Anyone have mb quart components?
I'm looking at two series they have the reference series and the premium series. Anyone have either of these in a component set? If so how are they. I still cant decide on some rear speakers. Bose just doesnt do it for me.

I had the MB Quart Reference Series in my 3rd Gen, and they were garbage, I was very unimpressed.. I would recommend staying away from them.. I actually bought a cheap Rockford Fosgate component set from Best Buy and was much happier with the sound..

well....
if your are going to go with MB quarts don't go cheap...stick with the Q series and you won't be sorry. I think the best sounding sets of components you can are dynaudio's and focal utopia's..lot's of money though...after that you have dimaond audio and alpine..

The discuss line is the lowest, if its fits within your budget and YOU like the sound then get it. There are alot more worse as well as better that you can get.
Whenever doing a component set, it is HIGHLY recommended to use an aftermarket amp. The power from your HU is too dirty of a signal to properly work your speakers. Many companies will tell you directly that if you do not use an amp your component set will blow. MB Quart is one of those companies.
Also keep in mind your HU is RATED at 50W X 4, this is a peak power that you will never see. The true power of a HU is in the range of
12-18 watts per channel.
