VE leaking oil by the puddle

Recently, my driveway has started to look like a dalmation. there's oil spots all over. i haven't gone outside to check the oil yet (it's -5 not including windchill) but this started the last time i had the oil changed. within 5 minutes of parking it, there's already a small drip. leave it over night, and there's a puddle the size of my head. i'm going to top it off today and see how much is missing. After this, i'm thinking of switching to synthetic. i've done a search: do you guys recommend anything besides Mobil1's new synthetic? i have a hard time keeping up with all the new lube

Dude, that's not right. You have an oil leak. No matter what kind of oil you put in there it will leak (although might slow down with 20-50W but I wouldn't reccomend that). Where are you getting the oil changed? Possible that your filter is not on properly or your drain plug. Otherwise it could be a gasket in the engine.

Also, I don't know if you own the driveway but oil is a REAL b^itch to get out. The previous home owners of my house had a big POS that leaked oil for years on the driveway. I tried Muratic Acid, power washing, Dawn dishwashing soap, oil spot remover, you name it. Finally I ended up sealing it with a sealer that was supposed to allow you to pave over oil. Then I put 3 coats of tar on it. Well, 6 months later it's back!

Until you get your car fixed, but a piece of carboard under it.
