Amp Installation With Bose

I know about searching and all but im not finding the answers. I've heard that there are adapters for the bose HU to go into an amp RCA in. Thats cool but were do ya get em and how much are they. Also, since the HU has no remote turn on how do you trick the amp into turning on when the HU does. Thanx.

Read me.

Read me, too.

Those 2 threads should get you started. www.sounddomain.com sells adapters, as does PAC (though I was not aware of that until recently).

What year is your max?

I know that you said that yuo searched, but bot h of those threads were from the last 2 weeks.

This one was a freebie! J/K...

some line level converters automatically sense the audio signal coming in when you turn the radio on.

Or you can tap off of the signal that the OEM system uses to turn the Bose on...it is the red wire on either rear speaker harness...

Here's a link to locate the appropriate adapter kits needed for your installation. This will give you the part numbers. Then you can order them directly from PAC or through your local PAC dealer (Circuit City, etc).

http://www.go2pac.com/oem1kits/oem1search.htm

Also, if you have a 2002, I've put up a wiring sheet at my website for the colors, etc.

Good luck. I've done it, so it can be done.
