rear Bose Speakers
rear Bose Speakers
If anyone has knowledge of the Bose speakers I would appreciate your help. My rear speakers are blown and I am buying a used set. I was assuming that the amps and Speakers were one unit, however it seems they come apart.
Is this correct and how easy will it be to just replce the speakers and keep my existing amps?

Bose speaker's impedance are rated at 1 Ohm, aftermarkets are 4 Ohms. The amps are rated likewise. Putting aftermarket speakers in with the stock amps will decrease the power that you hear. If you want to keep the system stock, go to www.carstereohelp.com and they will be able to send you OEM replacements for your Bose.
I am actually replacing the stock Bose speakers with a used set of Bose speakers from another Maxima. My main concern is if it's going to be possible to replace just the actual speaker while still using my existing amps. When I looked at them, they appear to be connected as one unit (speaker and amp).
I am not really interested in replacing the entire system with an aftermarket one. I would just like to regain the sound it had when all my speakers actually worked.
