and they suck. i cant go loud at all. they are all fuzzy and it looks like im definitly going to have to buy a whole new system. i have a 96 maxima gxe. all it has is a tape and am/fm. i was planning on buying a cd reciever, but now im saving for a new system. can anyone tell me what TYPE i need to get that will fit, how many speakers. anyone suggest what kind is good, and not A WHOLE lot of $?

I would suggest getting a deck first and see how you like it with the stock speakers. If you're still not happy with it, then upgrade your speakers(starting with the fronts). If you want more fill(boom), get an amplifier and a subwoofer(or 2). Almost any din radio should fit. www.crutchfield.com can point you in the right direction. They can tell you what fits your car.
