ski hatch : newbie

Is the best way of getting bass into the cab throught the ski hatch?
any images?

Has anyone removed the rear speakers?

Also what speaker sizes are in the 4th gen? Ive been told that the bose system is activley amped so you have to replace the whole system at once. Is it possible to run rcas from the stock headunit?

cheers

97GLES: that looks pretty phat, i take it that hole isnt to allow the use of the ski hatch!

I found this on sounddomain, its pretty much what i have in mind.

I plan to build a triple chamber internally bandpassed box with the sub in the centre chamber firing through the ski hatch and the ports from the outer chambers on the top of the box firing through empty speaker holes in the rear shelf.efmax.info is trhe man for box design.

best bandpass box for the max is a 3 chamber. only the center chamber will have a port firing out of the rear deck. the port will be about 6"L x 4"W x 10"H.

not to many ppl could make it work, i waited for over a year for this box and it would cost alot of money.

after all the wait i started thinking of how heavy it was going to be & how long it would take to finish. so i tried to go and work with Don (pearlmax96) but could not make it.

i went to a friends shop and what you see in my sig took 3 days. it's not finished, we have to change the + & - wire and conn of the rear battery, replace 1 neon, get a silver center link for the rockford amps. will get it done when it gets warmer.

good luck with your system
