Focal has 7" components. I know the 97-99 Maxima's have 6.5S for the rears (6.75), has anyone tried putting 7" midbass speakers in the rear deck? I know it can be done but just want to know how much of a headaches it would be. Metal cutting involved? Thanks

1/4 inch around the circumference. Easy. The only thing you'll have to check is the clearance through the bars which act to open and slow the trunk closure.

I see...

Thanks Jmax, I think I'm going to put 7" focal's in the front since that's where I'll be sitting and 6.5 Focal coaxials in the rear.

Ya, that would work the best.

I have 7" Dynadio's in the front, and 6 1\2" dual cones in the rear for rear fill. Works out great.

It's just sheetmetal and you don't have to trim too much of it, so it's not a huge deal. Get a decent cutting blade and take your time; you should be fine.
