JL Audio worth the extra money over MTX?
Anyone used both MTX and JL Audio Subwoofers? I can get one 12 inch W7 for twice the money of two 10 inch MTX 4000's.
Would it be worth it?
I have a Ford 150 97' Truck.

It also depends on how much amp you plan to push them with. JL Audio recommends a minimum of 400 watts rms for the 12" W7. It runs the best at about 800 to 900 watts rms.
The MTX 4000 series rms ranges from 100 to 250 depending on which one you get.
If you want the best possible sound of the two choices, AND you have the money, get the W7 and a really good amp...IMO.

Unless you really want a bumping system, I wouldn't recommend the W7...if you're looking for something around 200W or so, maybe go for one of the earlier W series JL subs... I had 2 JL Audio 15W0's in the back of my escort with a 350W amp hooked up to those....sweeeeet bass
