Trip button not working after stereo install
I recently had a Sony CDX-MP70 head unit installed on my 2002 and the trip computer button on the steering wheel stopped responding. I took it back to the stereo shop and they checked it out and said the wiring is good. Has anybody had this problem, if so how did you fix it.

You have to ground the brown/white wire.

The easiest way to do it.............Go to radio shack and by a box of Tap Connectors. There only like $2.00. Take the brown wire with white stripe on the connector that's not installed to anything. Tap it to the ground for the radio. You'll be set. May not be the best way but, it works for me.
If you don't prefer that method just ground it to the chassis.
