I'm looking at probably a model from Clifford; just not sure which one to get yet. Btw, don't get Code Alarm, my sister has one, and it sucks! Most important for me in the alarm is a starter kill and some kind of shock sensor. Any good Clifford model suggestion? And finally, is it hard to install the alarm yourself? That would save me some labor cost.

I have a Clifford Concept 200. It has shock senors and all. I currently have 5 shock sensors up. All side windows and the front windshield. My Clifford has a starter, ignition kill setup. Do you hve the chip in the key? On my 99 i do and that acts as a 3rd kill... the fuel pump. I help do the install on my car. I use to work at a car audio shop and the other installer helped me. We did a 6 hour job, not one of those poorly installed 1 hour job by a 6th ave or a circuit city thing. Siren is hidden, brain, and all.

Installing the alarm will take time if you arent that familiar with taking your car apart and knowing which wires are which.

You can get alarms from car audio magazines or any local car audio shop.

How much did the Clifford Concept 200 costed you? I'm looking at around $300-$500 range. Best thing if it's under $400.

I'm not sure how much it costs but i got it cheap b/c i worked there. The concept 200 + install is $425. That includes 3hours of labor or so, if not more. Never really timed it. The unit costs around 200-250. This is just a rough idea but close though.

How does the concept model line compare with the intelliguard line. I like the fact you hid everything. Is your shop located in the New York area. I would not mind have your shop install the alarm for me. Thanks.

I'm not sure of the exact difference but they are two different lines of alarms. The shop i worked at is in northern NJ. BTW, Clifford is no longer, they have been bought out by DEI.

That is very interesting information about Clifford. Every shop I have been to state that Clifford is still running strong. Just that they report to DEI. I was concerned about spending $400-$500 to find out that the company will not support any of thier products any longer.
