alarm - double pulse from a single pulse?

Anyone have any suggestions on how to take my Clifford alarm with only a single pulse output and make it have a double pulse output so it can work properly with my 99 I30? I think there is a module that can be purchased, but I like to build stuff myself.

In case it matters, I am posting the same question on www.the12volt.com.

Thanks

Which Clifford alarm do you have? All the DEI alarms have the capabilities of double pulse, without buying anything extra. It is all in the programming.

because its a Prestige

Seriously though, that is most likely the reason. I am not too familiar with the Audiovox alarms, and try not to get to know them to well.

Depending on what system you're using, I'd say without asking much more, that you've got driver's door unlock priority wired up wrong. But I'm sure we need to know more info....

i had my prestige 996 installed at a local car audio shop and the guy said something like that alarm was double pulse so it the only way the keyless entry would work was if i hit the button twice. I think he weas tellin bs just because he didnt know how to install it. i go to that shop all the time just to chill so i figured he would know how to install but i guess not because he only sells and installs dei alarms.
