A32 Bose questions
I have a 95 Max with the Bose TM system. Since I'm a college boy with a lot of bandwidth and time, and not a lot of money, I play pretty much nothing but CD-Rs. So basically, after about 2 years of use the CD player conked out.... So now I'm considering my options:
1. Get a new HU and sub, keep Bose speakers and amps.
2. Get a new HU and sub, and keep Bose speakers, scrap amps and wire a 2ohm resistor in series with speakers.
3. Get an RF changer and sub, keep everything.
4. Get that nifty new aux adaptor, a changer and a sub.
I know a little bit about circuits and a lot about home audio (blame my school and my dad), so I kinda know how the system works. But I hear the Bose TM amps take a signal that's a different voltage than that of a signal from the RCA jacks in an aftermarket HU...as well as other things that just make life difficult. Basically, I want to be able to play CDs again and add a sub for as cheaply as possible. Help!
