want to replace stock cassette player w/bose CD/Cassette player
Hi,
I have a 96 Maxima GXE and would like to replace the stock radio/cassette player with a stock Bose Cassette/CD/radio unit. Besides getting a new dashboard mount and molding for the radio panel is the wiring the same for the two units? Will I be able to just unplug the old cassette player and plug in the new Bose CD player unit??
thanks,
Gil

to put the Bose in, you need to do the whole system. In the Bose system, the radio does not power the speakers. It only send out a signal to the amps that are mounted to the Bose speakers. You will need the whole system to upgrade to Bose. Personally, I think you're better off without it. I would just get a nice headunit and maybe some new front speakers.
