2001 Oem Radio

Anyone know if a 2001 maxima OEM radio will fit into a 96 maxima?
do I need any wire modifications? or cut any dash parts?

Want to find out before I buy the 2001 OEM Radio.

IF it is single DIN - it might. If its double din or bose double din - no way.
Why though ?

I had a single disc player in it before. but that thing stop playing cds. so i'm thinking getting one with CD/tape deck.

Yeah, none of the 5th gen Double DIN decks are goign to work. Somehting of a fourth gen might fit better.
