Okay, I want to upgrade a few parts of my car audio system. I have if you'll look at my sig at the bottom, youll see what i have as far as audio upgrades goes. What i am thinking of doing is getting something else. I need to know what you experts think....

I want to get a RF amp, probably the 400a4 power punch model. If i go this route, i wasnt planning on getting a sub. BUT, now i got interested in the infinity basslink sub, and from what ive read theyre pretty good. What do you think about them? I figured id just leave the Infinity Kappa 255a Amp i got in there now and just throw on the sub, but do you think the Rockford Fosgate is better? what would you guys do in my situation? i really want a good audio system, but im not looking for earth shattering bass, just a good amount of it. I also want perfectly clear music, so whats the route i should go to achieve this?

thanks in advance!

I see your delema and my answer is that the Infinity sub is one good piece of equipment. I don't know about the amp, I have no experiance with Infinity amps. The RF amp is amazing RF Makes some of the best Amps on the Market. They also make excelent subs, check some of those out too.

Since you already have an amp, save your money

To me Infinity amps are no worse than RF. RF is good for bass but there are much better amps out there for mids and highs. Use that money instead to buy a better set of components up front. I think you'll get more out of your money that way.

hey ness...

How do you like those Pioneer speakers? I was thinking of getting the exact same setup minus the amp. What kind of power are you sending them and how is the midbass response? Did you ever have them powered by just your headunit because that is what I want to do and I just wanted to know how it sounded over stock. Thanks.

If your looking for a small but powerful sub set up the bass link is great. I work for Harman International which ownes Infinity among other companies. I've seen it and it's sweet, good bang for the buck! Check out the speakers they are great also.

Cincy, the Pioneers are great speakers. They are very high wattage (20 watts for the 1795's and 180 watts for the 1695's) and i had them put in my G20 a year ago, and they were simply run without the amp. They deliver some very deep bass by themselves and are very clear. I have enjoyed them a lot. Im not all into setting up a 10 thousand dollar amp, sub and speaker mobile entertainment system, so this is waht i went for, and id suggest it to anyone else looking along the same lines.

Get the subwoofer....

You have a decent amp, decent speakers... a sub will be the biggest single impact thing you can do next.
