i have an eclipse av8022 and it has the wire for the parking brake so you cant watch anything while your driving. i am hooking up a switch so it will work while moving but for some reason it wont work. if you have any info and can help me then please let me kno. thanks

ive never installed a dvd unit, but im thinking that that wire gets negative 12 volts when the parking break is engaged, so possibly just ground that wire? im not 100% sure though

 

I've got a pioneer 7300 and I just grounded the wire and works fine...all the time.
