when i got my car i ripped out the bose stuff...now i was wondering if it was possible to get the head unit back and maybe run the speakers off an amp?

 

Anything is possible. Go get the Bose HU (if you must). Then read the audio forum FAQ to see how to use aftermarket speakers/amps with the Bose HU.

But if I were you, get a decent aftermarket HU. The Bose HU is the weakest part of the whole system.
