4th gen bose question

Today I removed my rear bose speakers and I am wondering whether the back round casing is part of the speaker, or should I leave it in the car and screw the coaxial speakers into it? Where are the amps for the rear speakers located?

amp is mounted to the back/bottom of the speaker. there should be three nuts holding up the black plastic casing. what did you get for speakers?
