4th Gen Stereo Replacement (give it 2 me str8!)

OK, I've read through the FAQ section and some of the more recent posts, but I'm still unclear on a couple things...so I come to you, the educated masses.

I'm replacing my entire Bose system (99SE-L)...the new HU (Kenwood)is already in, and I want to swap out the speakers. Since they all have mini-amps powering them:

- Can I simply pull out the Bose speakers & mini-amps and install new speakers? Is there something special I need to do beyond that?

- Do I have to get a separate amp (besides the power supplied by the HU)? I use my car for work, so I don't need anything elaborate.

Thx in advance....

To keep things simple for you.

- Take stock speakers and amps out... and put new ones in their place. If you dont really know color codes of the wires I would just run a new speaker cable from the HU and would not re-use stock speaker cables.

- As for getting an amp... you dont have to but amps make hell of a diff on any speaker over HU power.

- Two things you need to get for sure for you HU are the wire harness and antenna adapter.

Anything else PM me.
