Would this work?

I have MB Quart Components. How bad is it not to use the crossover that came with it? I can easily hook up the tweeters and midranges where the existing speakers are without drilling holes for the tweeters.

don't do it. the idea behind the crossover is to send the speakers the frequencies that it can handle. If you don't use it, you could damage the speakers AND it will sound horrible. Find a way to use the crossovers.

Well how do the existing speakers work? The tweeters and the speakers in the front doors are not hooked to a crossover.

I don't know what your exsisting speakers are. I believe the bose speakers are crossed over in the amp.

There is a crossover but no where near the quality of the one in the new MB Q's. Ask any top speaker builder what the most important thing about building quality speakers. The answer will be the crossover. The crossover in many cases may be the only difference between speakers costing a couple hundred and speakers costing a couple thousand or more.
