Has anybody ever used the truck bedliner stuff for sound deadening?

Has anybody ever used the truck bedliner stuff for sound deadening?
I was at AutoZone the other day and say a 1 gallon paint container that had a Do it yourself truck bedliner chemical in it. I started thinking that It might be something that I could use for a sound deadener. Any thoughts or opinions. It might be more expensive to do that then dynomat though.
