does the 4th gen have at least 2-1/2" mounting depth in front doors for 6.5" speakers

As the subject states, can the 4th gen max front doors clear 2-1/2 inches in depth for speakers? I am thinking of purchasing kicker resolutions and slapping the midrange's in the doors for now.

It does. But you will need to cut out existing plastic mounting bracket. Thats all. Or you might have the build up a ring of 3/4" mdf. Lots of space in there.
