Gas Tank

I want to bolt my sub box to the floor of the trunk, where is the Gas tank located, I don't want to puncture it with screws.

I dropped the muffler and heat shield, drilled through near the bolts that the muffler heat shield hang from with no problems whatsoever. That way the bolts are hidden and protected.

What about rust and corrosion on the bolt? Did you seal the outside

Galvanized bolts and a dab of caulk on the bolt as I put it through the hole. Been doing it the same way for many years and on many vehicles. Stainless is an option as well.

After the caulk skins over I have been known to spray a bit of undercoat on the entire area just to make it look nice and 'factory'.

Let me know if I can help.
