basic system

im sorta new to car audio, and i am going to get a basic system, nothing too expensive, 1 sub and amp, and was just wondering if im wrong to be looking at either of these subs/boxes, they are both audiobahn's, http://www.hifisoundconnection.com/abb102q-2.jpg
thats the AUDIOBAHN ABB101Q SUB BOX W/ 1-10 SUB, and the other one is http://www.hifisoundconnection.com/ABASSSIDE.jpg
and its the AUDIOBAHN ABASS10 SUB BOX W/ 1-10 SUB. just looking for insite on whether im lookin in the right direction for a relatively cheap sub/box setup, or if i should look at a different setup. i have a 96 gle.
thanks

What kind of $ are we talking about here ? Basic system can mean many many things. Also... is this a "system" or just a sub and amp ?

My last system was an Alpine V-series Amp and a JL 12" W1, sealed box. Did not cost me much (maybe a little more than $300) and sounded great. I have always used JL and have never been disappointed
