I saw someone who had it mounted underneath the glove compartment held up by a metal support... I'll try to remember who or dig up the picture. I also have a link to instructions on converting your PS2 to run on DC power, if you're interested.

Is that DC modification necessary? I mean is using an inverter all that detrimental, and if so to what? Just curious, because I plan to hook up a few things to my tv, and would care to do it right the first time around, naa mean? Thanks!

I think technicall the "right" way would be to change it over to DC power. Bascially an inverter just isn't an effecient device, so you're wasting some power in the conversion. I'd imaging all it's detrimenting is your battery.

If you're running only PS2 or maybe some other small, lower wattage device, I don't think an inverter would be a big deal.

if u did the DC mod, could the PS2 still be used on AC?

Also, can all the parts in the parts list be found at radio shack? The diagram is a little confusing...what do the triangles that point to a line mean? and the "to mother board" part, where on the mother board?

The person who mounted it under the glove compartment was jason (thebigsadler). He had it there temporarily, looked ok. I have mine under my passenger seated, not bolted down or anythign so i can get to it easily. That mod to convert looks really difficult, and I dont want to risk messin up the PS2. I just bought the converter and am fine wiht it. No skipping of cds whatsoever.
