Re: have bass, need music

if you want a workout for your subs, drop in some drum 'n bass

anything from dillinja, bad company, ed rush and optical, a good place to start would be getting a well-mixed compilation, I'd recommend Dieselboy's "Soldier's Story"

Mickey Hart
Meshell Ndegeocello
Delerium
Most Nettwerk compilation CD's
Jeff Beck - You Had It Coming

Sorry, most of these are not house music. But all have really good low bass. And several have great drums and then of course Beck's guitar can do anything he asks of it. I probably have at least 20-30 more downstairs.

Nirvana
Nine Inch Nails
I think I already mentioned Jeff Beck
Led Zeppelin
Pink Floyd, and it's members solo stuff
U2
Bjork
Tool

For subs, bigger is almost always better. For rock and alternative a sealed box is best because ported will miss too many of the notes. The range that must be covered is too great for a simple ported or bandpass system. If you went ported, you would need to tune low to keep from blowing the sub.

more smaller sized subs do good for that kind of music

2 10s or 3 8s i guess.. tighter sound is better for rock

depends on what u like/buy...some of the rock stuff has good low bass 2, like mentioned tool, linkin park, and some others...but my bass hits a little on all my music...

however, i hooked up a single shiva 2 300ish watts and it wouldnt hit the high stuff well, even in a small box...but when 2 of them put together get 750 watts each...it pounds on everything believe me...a smaller, sealed box is the way 2 go...

Read the Faq's. Then skim through the posts for the past couple months. Then skim through the posts at carsound.com or any other large car audio forum. After that if you still have questions, make a post.
