Custom Box

I want to buy 2 MTX 12' thunder 6000 subs. I saw 2 for 140, or 2 MTX Thunde 8000 12' for 255. I want to make a custom box, i have never dealt with subs before, fresh starter. anyone have instructions on how to make a box. materials ETC. and tell me what kind of amp you reccomend. im lost on the subject i hope for alot of responses and possible ways to install subs on a low budget. trying to spend under $1000

Box building materials:
MDF (medium density fiberboard) 3/4"
Screws (drywall work fine) 1 5/8"
Liquid Nails (or other bonding/sealing agent)
carpet
Jig Saw
Skil saw
Drill
*Put your T/S parameters online and whether you want ported or sealed and I'm sure that one of us can give you interior dimensions on a box.
As far as amps go, well that's a touchy subject. Do your own research, ask opinions and make a decision based on that and your budget. Asking about brands is like asking who makes the best car. Personally I only run Orion, US Amps, Zapco, OLD Earthquakes. Not much help but do a search on a reviw site and go from there.

for amps, I ran JBL power series... it's personal preference really. I've heard good things about the Rockford Fosgates too...

Check this link out...

Crutchfield usually has competitive prices when it comes to car audio...
looks like they even offer a little bit of help too..
