Ran into a couple of problems after install, need help

I have a 12 inch L7 and a kx 600.1 kicker amp. For my highs I have an old California amp pushing my Memphis Audio components up front and boston acoustic coaxials in the back. The inside speakers sound fine but the sub hits very soft. I checked the sub and it works fine because I hooked it up to my brothers car. The amp is fine because the indicator light is green. I don't know what the problem is. On my headunit (Kenwood DPX- 6020) I have a front and rear rca preouts. One is for my sub amp and the other is for my inside speaker amp. I had to buy some rca splitters for my other amp because it was a 4 channel amp. What is the high level input jack on the kicker amp for? Which rca preouts on my Headunit should each amp be hooked up to? For example, the sub amp to the front or rear? If the 4 channel is hooked up to rear would that make the rear speakers louder than the front? I have been trying to fix it for 3 days now and can't figure out what is wrong. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

check to see that u have all ur wires in properly positives to positives and negs to negs. swap the rca's from the profile to the kicker amp and see if it works then, and if so check to make sure that the rear out's are set to on, if they are not the amp will get no sound to it. try that out and see if it helps

See if your radio has seperate sound level adjustments for front and rear outputs. Also insure that speaker wire polarities are correct. With one speaker I don't think it makes that big of a difference. I swapped one wire to the wrong polarity for my two subs and it hit like 6" woofers. Swapped one of the wires and then"BOOOOOOOOOOM". I think it's a sound level prob. By the way your high level imputs on amp are for if your radio doesn't have RCA outputs(low-level) this uses your speaker wires as a signal source.

I have some suggestions....

Use the RCA splitters off of the front RCAs on the HU. This will give you two sets of front RCAs and one set of rear RCAs. Hook up one set of the fronts and the set of rears to the 4-ch amp. This way you can use your fader on the radio to fade the sound from the front to the rear. Then, use the other set of fronts to feed the input of the sub amp. You want the sound to mainly be in front of you, so the fader should end up toward the fronts more than the rears. This will allow the most RCA signal to go to the sub amp

Double check all of your speaker connections. If your sub has dual-voicecoils, make sure it is hooked up properly. If one of the coils is reversed, it will work against the other coil and they will cancel each other out. Basically, the speaker will move but hardly any sound will come out.

Good luck.

not quite, because it is split it will mix up the volts two the two amps, it will in effect give u less voltage as u fade forward because the voltage typically drops when u fade to one set, thats a built in safety on most head units

This is what my problem was.
