Greetings

i had a break-in my 89 gxe the other night, the thieves broke the front driver side window and stole my amp/kicker out of the trunk.

i am having trouble starting the car now....part of me wants to say it is the starter or a sensor but why all of a sudden does it stop working? so the other part of me wants to know if my security system has anythign to do with that? should i try reseting it or does that have absolutely nothing to do with the situation?

i was able to start the car once the other day and drove it to a garage. now it won't start and i've already tried jumping it. the fuses seem ok, there is power in all areas, the battery reads 12.5 Volts.

i did notice that i can't get the alarm to go off after i engage it. i tried waving my hand inside the car and opening it without disarming but it won't go off....why not? is it the broken window?

need some ideas...thanks!
