Help: Bose Wont Work

A little while ago i noticed that 'ERR' will sometimes show up on my Stock Stereo(BOSE) when i put in a CD. That wasnt really my problem. What is, is Now for some reason, you cant hear the music no matter what volume. Cant hear anything, from Radio, to Cd. Now i was told not to bother to fix it because it would cost too much money, so i went to go buy a Rockford Fosgate today, installed it, and the same problem persists. No matter how loud, you cant hear the music. What's the problem? Do 95's have an AMP built in that may have blown a fuse? Help me because i am resorting to singing Whitney Houston's BODYGUARD for my muscial enjoyment.

Had something similar happen in my car, with an aftermarket system, sound would just cut out all around. Turned out to be shorted speaker wire on one of the speakers. I'd recommend pulling the unit, turning it on, then disconnecting the speakers one at a time to see if anything happens. If so, then you'll have narrowed down which one is shorting and should be able to fix it. Good luck.

So if one speaker goes, it means all go?

Not the speaker "going", just the wiring to one of the speakers could be shorting out. I can't say whether or not the whole thing would stop working if one of them were shorted, but this was the case with mine, so it's worth trying this out to see if that could be the problem. I did the same thing, went and bought a new head unit, wired it all up, nothing...then I pulled it out, disconnected one of the speakers (while it was still on) and it worked, so then I traced the wiring for that speaker to the rear of the car where it was pinched under the seat and shorting out. This was my problem, it's possible you have a similar one.

Well there was one fuse that was burned, and i wasnt sure what that was, but it wasnt stereo. There is a fuse in the middle row that isnt burned, but it doesnt have power going to it. How would i fix this problem. I honestly think it's the BOSE fuse that is in the car. But how am i supposed to fix a fuse that isnt burned?
