new 6.5's in 4th gen. way 2 loud can't hear subs

i have a alpine head unit, dragster 6.5's, 2 10' DD subs and a 1000 watt hollywood amp. i had this deck in another car and level ten vol was a perfect level for rolling with buddies now level 10 is blaring ****ing loud and i can barly feel the subs. what the **** is up i heard somthing about bose have and amp to each of there speakers, is this the reson or am i just ****ed in the mind????

what is a dd? the fourth gen has amps on the speakers themselves, so if u removed the speakers the amps are out now, the speakers u bought most likely are very sensitive and dont have a high rms rating, u can adjust the bass on the dd's amp and that should help you out, but with aftermarket speakers that have better imaging than stock u will have louder cleaner crisper sound reproduction

Late model Alpine head units have been known for having really weak pre-outs. You are going to have to get gain happy and really crank the gain up on your Hollywood to match the headunit properly.


EDIT: A line driver could would be another solution.
