Non mainstream subs.

Been looking at some Elemental Designs, MMats and Adire shiit lately.. real quality stuff for pretty low prices. Anyone on this board into the lesser known brands?

I've been real happy with Adire stuff for the past about 19 months. MMats is not really all that small. Just doesn't have all the marketing that the other big brands have. I haven't heard anything bad about Elemental. But I started buying Adire so have no need for ED's stuff yet.

American Bass.......dont' know how well they are known?

It is really quality stuff. The amp I have (sq500) is very underated power wise. The sub is also amazing. It produces very clean sound.

Beyond Audio subs are the best subs I heard so far.

I've been into the "lesser brands for quite some time. The kick I'm on currently is the Parts Express Dayton Audio line, specificly the Titanic subs. Really top notch bang for the buck!

ED A series are DEFINITELY amazing subs. they are so underrated and will perform admirably with whatever amount of power you want to throw at them. We've even thrown 2000 watts at 1 ohm at the 12" A series and it didn't even flinch, just got louder!

As a small company there is very little mark up on the subs. Therefore pretty much the same price everywhere you order them. Adireaudio.com or acoustic-visions.com

When you consider that is free shipping from Seattle it's very good. Logon to UPS and see how much it costs to ship about 40 lbs from seattle. But do not get these subs to impress your friends with massive SPL. They do have it, but you can't hear it. What they have is clean accurate bass.

Better Audio's D2 is gonna be something similar to the legendary Brahma with XBL^2 technology. Resonant Engineering also makes some really nice subs. I am with others too when they say Beyond Audio and Elemental Designs make great subs as well for the money.
