Help wiring Switch to microvision Screen: General Tips

Hello all, wanted to know if anyone can offer me some pointers on installing a Off/On switch for Redmax's screen. I went to radio shack and they had so many types available my brain nearly overheated. Can anyone give me some general HOW 2's for adding a switch to electronical equipment? Thanks!

Wire your ground to a switch mounted up front and hook 12v constant. May also want to wire ground to a relay not sure if needed, probably better protection if you do.

I bought one of those switches that light up when you tirn it on. I put it in one of my coin holders so its easy to get to, and looks professionally done, it works real great. Just connect 3 wires (2 if you dont want the switch to light on) and there ya go, you can have the TV on and off whenver you want.

All you need is a basic on/off switch. I have a lighted one also. there will be 3 connections on the back of the switch. One will be for power in, one for power out, and one for ground. Just run a 12V wire to the power lead and a wire from the switch to the orange wire on the screen. Any questions, feel free to PM me.

Where/How are you guys mounting/placing the switches? I looking at the empty space next to my factory dimmer and it looks like if I want it mounted I'll have to do some customizing. Perhaps drill through that black "cap" covering the space try to rig my switch to it.

Thanks for all the responces Fellas. It was a big help in finally deciding which switch to get, and the wiring doesnt seem so inimidating any more. Those plug looking things threw me off at first. Had me think'n WTF.....how are wires going to attach to that!

P.S.- would splicing the ground to my Aftermarket HU's ground cause problems?
