powering components

I plan on powering a set of 6 1/2" Focal 165k with an amp. Here is my question that hopefully someone can help me out with -- what kind of amp should I use?

The focals are rated up to 75 Watts I believe. So is there a particular brand of amp that is better suited to powering components, rather than an amp that should power a subwoofer?

Also, I am looking for an economical choice, any help that yall can give me is appreciated.

Well, those componets properly equalised will sound like heaven.... although power is a big issue, and so is mounting. But in regards to power, it's always best to give a little bit of lee-way, even if the amp is overated.... find a 2 channel amp, that runs full range at about 100 W per channel. First off, the speakers (mechanically, and thermally) can handle much more then 75W, but take into consideration your listening habits, and the tuning....

I would recommend a 2 channel 100W per channel amp... but then again it all depends on you, they will sound good with 50W rms each...
