Simple Bose HU question

My Bose HU just crapped out on me the other day, I'm looking at buying a 98 Bose HU. Will the 98 HU be compatible with a 96 BOSE harness? Thanks in advance for any help.

I dont know, but I have a 99 bose unit for sale if things dont work out. I am assuming that they are the same though, could be wrong.
