sub break-in period

how long would you guys spend in "breaking-in" your subs? you think a couple of days at moderate volumes will do?

Depends on the break in procedure and the sub. Most lower level subs that is plenty. But the big boys with heavy suspension need time. Or not if they are broken properly they can be hammered on day one.

Yeah...Dynaudio suggest some god-awful amount of burn-in time like 100 hours. They aren't kidding, either. They claim output can almost double after a proper breaking in.

100 hours seem reasonable on a good sub. It will just gradually get better over time. People who haven't ridden in your car for a while will notice, and you'll find yourself gaining down your sub amp over the break in period.
