Bat cap is sold I believe by Xstatic. http://www.batcap.net/home.htm There have been many expert opinions denoucing them as useless as the internal resistance is too high to assist during musical peaks.

By line driver do you mean a speaker level to RCA converter? If so nearly every company has them. I would check http://davidnavone.com/

a guy at a newer audio shop here in town told me that bat caps store more energy and are just as fast as delivering energy as power caps. i currently have a 5 farad capacator which was ok for my 1000w amp but now i have 2 1000w amps and am pushing 2 subs that take 1000w rms. i was thinking about hooking up a bat cap up to both amps and then put my cap between and hook my amps up. was hoping this would be better than just using the cap.

just by upgrading from 4v to 5v i noticed a huge improvement in sound quality in my system, so boosting this to 8 or 9 should prove to quite amazing i'm sure. hoping to find a line driver that could do this for me.

Well, the guy at the local shop hasn't read the specs published by hte people that make the product. More than 1 milli-ohm resistance is too much to be beneficial and they have nearly 4 milli-ohms. I would hook your ssystem up with the 5 farad CAP and see how it works. But like I said the first time, it doesn't matter what you do down line if the power wiring isn't up to the task.

The line driver should be easy to find. A lot of companies make them including PG and Zapco.

Check out www.AudioControl.com for the best in line drivers, and EQ's. Most of their EQ's are 9-13 volt capable, And their line drivers are top notch. The saying goes if you don;t have Audio Control, You don't win.

do you have an upgraded alternator for that? 2 1000W amps must have a fuse rating of at least 200A, plus whatever your 4ch amp puts out. That's way more power than our alternators can put out. Do you have an extra battery too, just curious.

That is max current draw. Way more than average musical power. Remember, hearing loss starts with less than one watt of musical power.

no i don't have an upgraded alt yet. i still have everything in my room for the moment, i just threw a rod in my engine and i'm about to buy a 91se to put this system in. 2000w isn't what i'm going to be pushing until i get 2 more amps unless i wanna wire my amps at a 1ohm load. i'm using 2 rockford fosgate 1001bd's and 2 RF power hx2 10inch woofers. it's looking like i may just buy 2 more 1001bd's and wire it all at 4ohm that way i don't fry an amp. i may be upgrading to a 150 or 200a alty as soon as i get the new car, that will be the first new mod i get for it besides transfering everything over from my 89. as for an extra battery, no i won't be getting one. however i am thinking about adding a medium sized batcap and then my 5farad capacitor in between my car battery and my amps, i still haven't found out how effective this will be.
