Bose CD 6 disc changer doesn't handle CD-Rs well?

Has anyone heard about CD-Rs creating problems for the Bose 6-disc changer? I have a 2003 Max SE and they are having to replace the entire system because the CD player is messing up. I play mostly burned CDs, is this a bad idea? Is there a type of CD-R that works well with your system?

It isn't designed for burned cd's. Just store bought. That is most likely the problem. You will be more likely to fix the problem with an aftermarket unit that is designed for those cd-r's.

I have worked on many of the Maximas where the owner only/primarily plays burnt CDs, your problem may be an isolated one. Although I am only speaking from My experience.
