Bose CD player problems- suggestions

Whats up,
Aight here is the deal, my cd player was working fine sounded great. then i got up the other morning and popped a cd in, and nothing sounded all weird so i thought it was the cd because it was a burned cd, but it wasnt the cd, from then on every time i put a cd in i get an error sign. so does anyone know a cure before i buy a new cd player. i would really like to fix mine, also can anyone tell me how to get the unit out, easily. please open to suggestions.
thanks
adam

I think your head unit is shot. Look in the 4th gen or audio classifieds, pretty easy to find a bose head unit
