oh, and speaker pods

I can't remember who it is that makes and sells speaker pods to fit in the stock location for the 3rd gen.

Can anyone help me out, here, too?

James92SE sells them. I bought a set for like 25 bucks shipped. I think? Good stuff

James92SE doesn't make them anymore. I was going to be the last person he sold the pods to but with his new job he couldn't get around to it.

If anyone is making them, I would be interested in buying them.

He sent me the directions on how to make them but I haven't even looked at them due to my current situation.

Makeing them oneself is the best way to go. We all adjust out seats differently, use different speakers, different amps, different crossover points, have different leg and torso lengths and have different ideas of how it should sound. Sorry for the long sentence.

The sentence is all good. I understood. I don't think there is a lot of room for variation. I wanted the pods that fit in the stock door locations. I am not that picky about it, anyway. This is my work car. I want a nice sounding stereo that doesn't have "ghetto" speaker pods (quoting James92SE, who I totally agree with).

I don't really have much woodworking skill. I can do all of the wiring, and I am OK with nuts and bolts. My experiences with fabricating things aren't so good. Besides, I have heard nothing but praise about the work James does.
