I hooked a set of those up in a friend's 96. Wehooked them up to a Phionex Gold amp. It was either 75x2 or 100x2. Anyway, they sounded great!

Did they fit into the enclosures without any modifications?

Good choice of speaker, they are very natural sounding. They are one of my favorites because their detail is very smooth. They are not overly bright like Quart and Boston, and if you demo them side by side with anything on the market, they will distort at a greater volume level because they use better components in the crossovers. Check out their 3-way components too, the XR653CX, they are awesome.

I run the JL XR650 components off a phoenix gold Tantrum 150 X 2, 75 X 2 should work, although it depends on what sub(s) you plan to use. These components sound very nice!
