What makes you wana BUMP?

I just love loud music. I dont do it try to impress someone w/ my music taste or my "cool system" like some ricers do.

Whats yours?

I have to agree with the above. I love bass and loud music. Last week I had a going away party at my house for a friend, and everyone that walked in my new house said " I know you have to have a home theatre system right???"

Your system only goes down to 60 hertz? Any sub that makes your ears bleed shoud do at least hit the 20s. Right? Bag End subs can hit 8 hertz.

But I agree there is nothing like feeling the bass hit in your chest which reminds me I want to get new subs.

Right, the human ear can hear 17 - 27 hz. HOWEVER some people can hear lower. I think elephants can only hear lower than that.

But yea, you can def. feel it.

FosFan

That was my setup when I had my car - 2 12" audiobahn w/ 1800w JL amp.

I meant 6 hz....no 60 - <me

I just like to be able to "feel" the music when I turn it up. I dont have a stereo in the car just for background noise while I talk to passengers.

My goodness. You guys are going to make me head to Home Depot. I would like to build a box and place my amps in hole where my spare sits. But I don't want to lose my spare tire. For you guys that have done this or something similar, are you relocating the spare or just rolling hard.(without it)

Yeah, but when I turn it around, my trunk rattles and sounds like a shiity civic. I'm going for SQ not SPL. I have a big port on the top, dont know if you can see it in the pic.

Tribe Called Quest makes me want to bump :-)

I only have the loose box in my trunk, but thinking of building a custom to save some trunk space as well as look better. Anyone build a custom box for a single 12, rear facing, in a 5th gen? Looking for any helpful input.

Track #99 on my 1995 IASCA Setup and Test CD goes down to 10Hz. I can "hear" the woofer almost breaking into little pieces, and can feel the vibrations throughout the car, but I can't actually hear the sound waves. I think around 20Hz is when the actual bass frequencies break up and all I hear is the woofer motor assembly.

At 26 I'd like to think I have grown out of the bass phase. However, on occasion.. usually in response to my neighbours playing basketball at 2:00am I'm known to drive by their house as I'm heading off to work the following morning at about 6:30am on the weekend, and blast some tune which most likely rattles dishes in their kitchen cabinets

Well, after having had at least one sub in my cars since I was 17, I'm finding myself being more concerned with the AVAILABLE trunk space then how my subs and amps will fit there. I'm still pushing a 1000WRMS to my titanium eclipse 12. But it's still definitely a few steps down from the pair of eclipse aluminum 15"s in huge a ported "dresser" that took up the entire trunk. I've been enough SPL competitions, and at the moment I'm more concerned with what sounds good versus what will shake the ground under the car next to me.

I'll have to have a look when I get home.. I know I have some of the sealed box before I took it out, hopefully I have took pics of the ported as well. But to give you an idea, the box was built go give the subs 3^3ft per sub.

Have you done an SPL run on it yet?.. If I had to guess, you should be in 145ish dB range. I could be a little off, but the placement of the subs doesn't seem to be the best for SPL.

btw, not really digging the foam intake filter. it would be safer to run a k&n IMO
