They are 12's. I tried to move up to Titanium's instead of aluminums, but they dont fit. As for the foam filter, its not on anymore. I have a dry filter. The setup hits apporx 153 dbs.

Cool, when you had the SPL measured, did you have the RTA mic by the windshield or somewhere else in the car. and was the back seat up or down?

I believe the human ear cannot pick up anything less than 20hz, and nothing more than 20khz. I love to hear my music BUMP, but I also enjoy listening to ear drum piercing lyrics as well, and the mid bass which blends all together oh so nicely.

Where did you get your car metered for that? Where did they place the mic? Not trying to flame, but I have a hard time beleiving that 2 Eclipse Alum 12's in a sealed box off of 800 watts RMS facing upwards would hit 153+ dB.

This same exact setup was in Cwally's car. I bought it from him. At the SPL show here in Visat Ca, he hit 153 db's and the mic was placed up by the front windshield. Most of the west coast Org members were there and saw it. I have the exact same setup in my Max.

I'm not sure if this fits inline with the original post, but what sounds REALLY good in my car is Christina Aguilera's CD Stripped. Not to mention it is an awesome CD...she really surprised me. It is well recorded and really bumps!

Who says you have to have a bass-heavy CD to bump? It's well recorded...very clean and balanced.

The Alums r the older ones right...i mean from like 3-4yrs ago?? I had 1 12" n my previous car, it was a nice sub...but not that nice. Not trying to $hit on ur setup or anything. I've heard better things about the titaniums.

Everything makes me wanna play my music loud, unless there r ppl n the car that wanna talk...

Somebody did some serious grave-robbing on this one.

My answer would be simply put: Music is reason enough for me.
