LCD and DVD dont work anymore?

Hello all
I am going to go crazy. I have the redmax 7" lcd and dvd player. It was working fine for a while until one day I changed the wiring for my headunit. It already has a dedicated power to battery, so I gave it a dedicated ground to try and help with a dimming problem I was having. anyhow after that the lcd and dvd no longer turned on? I tried changing all the ground back but that had no effect. I checked over several times here is how everything is wired:

LCD (microvision 7000bct) 3 Wires:
Red - constant
Orange - ignition
Black - ground

LCD had lighter adapter (spliced it):
Wire with white line - ignition
Plain black - ground

Headunit Alpine CDA 9813 (works fine but is getting power directly from battery)

I was thinking maybe a fuse is blown but checked all fuses in dash and they are fine. I've also checked to make sure that the wiring is secure.

Any suggestions

Thanks

have you checked the fuses by the battery
when i was doing my alarm, i blew that ignition fuse twice. that's what i get for dragging wire when i shouldn't.

Is it an ignition fuse or radio fuse? If the ignition fuse was blown would the car still start?

Oh, just to add when I have the head unit on Aux (dvd player) I can hear the sound that buzzing type sound you get when a ground isn’t right and it gets louder as the rpm's go up. Might help determine a problem.

That only happens with aux selected. CD and Tuner are fine.

rechecked your headunits ground?
if you tapped any of the ignition wires into ground accidently, you'l get a whole buncha wacky **** happening to you.

first off ground that sucker good. if not then you will get the humming. you can add a noise filter that may help you out. Check your acc. fuse also check power at the units with a 12v tester. if you have power then your ground is no good. check the ground continuity with a tester. I have a fluke works great. if all is well the only ting left is a problem with your unit.

Everything is working now !!!

I went out a bought a Auto-Ranging Tester from radis shack and all of my power sources were good. Strangely it turned out that the factory ground was bad. I regrounded to another location and everything is back up. I will take pics this weekend.

I also didnt have to switch the LCD. I only connected the power / ground and I am able to control the power with the remote control.

Thanks for the help!!
