This is what I have 2 rockford FNQ component speakers and A JL audio stealth box. Which 5 channel amp would you recomend to push these speakers and woofer? I need opinion on these amps MTX 405-5, alpine MRDF52, Sony XM7557. Is there any others that you would recomend?
Thanks:Jose

3 channel Xtant 603x. Unless you got a dolby digital processor this is your amp. Just run both sets off the front channel.

5 Channel

650 DEI (Directed)
50x4 +250 at 14.4v
I just put one in my pathfinder. Run tweets and rear fills x50. Subs Two JL 10-4s at 2ohms, subchannel is about perfect. 50 is a little week for componant drivers, but at $385, I am very happy with it.

Yes I would be using a sound processor.
I will be using a Eclipse 7301 head unit with a Eclipse 2301
sound processor. Does xtant make any good 5 channel amps?

thay are all pretty good

IMHO Quality:

MTX
DEI-Alpine
Sony

DEI and HiFonics are my choices in bang for buck. MTX makes great amps, but usually sell closer to retail.

Xtant does not make 5 channels. They make the 4 channel 604x and the 3 channel 603x for the same price. The difference is the 603 has the sub channel and less power for the fronts. The 604 needs a bass amp like the 1001dx but has ***** like my 2200 for the fronts. Unless Eclipse has upgraded their eq, you are going to be horribly dissapointed buying it. It converts your 5V outputs into 2V outputs. It is a horrible waste of money. If you go with the Xtant amps get the PQM modules and then you can tune away. I used to have the 7001, Eclipse makes good decks but that EQ/SP is way outdated. All those amps are good, but I just don't see why you have the need for the 5 channels unless you are going dolby digital in the car, and the 2301 can not do that. Good luck.

Thanks for your advice I guess I should have spoken to you sooner->

But to answer your question why I want to you use a 5channel amp is space and simplicity. I don't want a heavy duty sound system I am Just looking for something that would play nice with my multimedia set up. Another reason is because I need all my trunk space with 3 kids and a wife I need room in the trunk when I travel. Believe me I've been there before my last car I had a 400.4 and a 500.2 rockford with 3 12"kicker solobaric, It was a custom job similar to yours and even though it sounded great I couldn't carry nothing in the trunk. I am trying my best to stay away from that. By the way thats a nice set up you have in your car.
Thanks for your advice

Just another choice

Have you checked out the Infinity 5-channel amp that Crutchfield is closing out? Half price ($400?). IIRC 50X4 and 100X1 RMS

If I didn't already have a JBL 6-channel... I woulda picked the Infinity up.
