I'm hoping some of you may have experience with the various alarms on the market . . . My headlights were recently stolen so I need to install a better alarm to warn me of trouble. I know I want to get one with a 2-way remote. Here is the list of alarms I think might be ok:

Look in the Group Deal sections for the Viper 791. I have one running now. I can also provide something else in the Viper line or the Hornet 554T. Any reputable shop would charge between $150-$200 to install any of those above listed products.

Thanks for the response. I've read some of your posts regarding the Viper line and I know you've been doing a lot of installs. I'm in Queens. here's my comments on the ones u listed
crimestopper: retractable antenna is very floppy and cheap. feels like it'll break.
Marksman: some ebay brands are marksman rebadged. supposedly very reliable
dei: can't go wrong! not sure how many extra input channels on the hornet tho.
Prestige: popular @ chain stores. probably good. i've never had experience w/them yet
ast and autostart could be the same thing. remotes look very similar
compustar: probably equivalient to pearl96's viper. top o the line stuff, so go w/the viper for good ol name's sake!

The CrimeStopper unit doesn't have a retractable antenna - it's the one with the LCD display . . . and a short stubby antenna. Do you know anything about the Marksman M11 (and is it the same as the Autopage?)
