Easy way to remove these screws?
I'm trying to take out the trunk carpeting and I need to know an easier way to take out the plastic screws that look like they can be taken out with a phillips screwdriver but cant. The only way I've been able to do so is by prying them out and literally ripping them apart almost. Also, what's an easy way to put them back in?
Those are easy, but they take a little patience.
You need to loosen the screw head so it pulls out from the base that it sits in. If necessary, slide a thin regular head screwdriver or a knife under the screw head and lightly press out as you turn the screw head.
The screw should pop up, at which point you pull it, and the base, right out of the hole it's in. It sounds a lot harder than it really is.
