sub getting hot?

sub getting hot?

well today i stuffed my box with polyfill and when i was pulling out the sub, it was kind of hot this is normal right?? it wasnt to the point of burning but it was hot. well let me know

Yes that is normal, some subs will be hotter than others depending on the magnet venting.

Yes, normal. A speaker is less than 1% efficient. That means that if you power it with 100 watts over 99 watts are burned as heat. Think of a skillet on high heat.
